About Us
The White Lion Hotel is a newly purchased business venture for the community, with community ethos at its core. The purchase of the pub happened in autumn 2021, and there are some great plans for the refurbishment over the next 2-3 years.
The first aim was to open the bar in December 2021, and we’re very glad that we are able to do so! Over the coming years, we will be working on the bed & breakfast rooms, kitchen, function rooms, outdoor space and more.
Pubs really do provide a key community hub, especially in rural areas like Cerrigydrudion – if you’re passing, do pop by. Keep an eye on our website, and social media for latest updates on our development too.

Sponsor a Window
We have 47 windows that are in need of replacement, and with the White Lion Hotel being in a conservation area – there are strict rules we have to follow. This means our windows will be of a certain style, and unfortunately potentially expensive.

Siop Mynydd Mostyn Shop
Part of the purchase of the pub included the shop next door, which we’re delighted has been leased to Mynydd Mostyn’s, owned by Elliw and Einion Jones. Both from Cerrigydrudion, the shop is an unmanned shop, selling not only their Mynydd Mostyn milk but other local produce too. Be sure to visit if you are in the area.
